Akshaya Srinivasan is a young artist based in Mumbai, India who is driven by a passion for dance and the fire to move audiences through movement. She envisions pursuing a career in Performing Arts and seeks opportunities to explore the world of Dance and Music in a holistic and nuanced manner. To aid in her pursuit she focuses on spending her free time improving her overall physical and mental fitness.

Dancer
Adroit and adept are two words that exemplify the young and vibrant dancer, Akshaya Srinivasan. She seeks to build a career in the performing arts through her varied and unique skill set, turning herself into a dancer that contributes to spreading the joy of art. Starting her journey in dance with her supportive father who joined Kuchipudi dance classes with her as a means to motivate her, she continued to explore different art forms, dance styles over the years.
She has trained in Kuchipudi (Indian Classical Dance form from Andhra Pradesh) for the last 7 years, and continues to receive professional training in Contemporary, Bollywood, Modern Dance, etc. A dedicated performer, she has an extensive performance repertoire and views the joyous movements of dance as a means of self-expression.
Choreography and Teaching
Apart from being a skilled performer, Akshaya Srinivasan is a thoughtful choreographer and teacher. Combining the vocabulary developed from exploring multiple dance styles, with real-life situations and experiences, she has created a multitude of short and long productions and performance acts. Working on multiple projects ranging from stage performances to dance-dramas, she brings unique and creative expressions to life.
From the freestyle movements of wedding choreography to presentation of complex themes through Bollywood and classical movement, Akshaya enjoys exploring all of it and works with people of all age groups. Her biggest motivation is the joy that dance brings to performers and audiences alike. It is this joy that she wants to spread through each choreographic and teaching endeavor of hers.
Akshaya Srinivasan donnes multiple hats. As a student, artist, performer, choreographer, and teacher, she has a multi-faceted personality that projects her capacities and capabilities as an individual and an artist. Akshaya is a passionate, driven, and highly spirited student who is keen to learn and explore different dimensions of art forms across the globe. Akshaya's interest in choreography and teaching stems from the desire to share knowledge that she has learnt and the joy of dance that she has experienced with others. Through her journey she looks forward to collaborating with multiple artists of varying industries and bringing to life out-of-the-box ideas and styles together. She envisions a future as a full-time artist, teaching and training students in performance and aspires to continue her community engagement with more conviction and creativity over the years to come.
